Any idea of when Intermountain next release of ES44AC/DCs will come out?

I made the foolish mistake of buying an HO scale Intermountain ES44AC in the Citirail livery from a online retail store called “Intrernet Hobbies,” and I am guessing that many of you know what I am talking about.

I later learned after this that up for preorder was Intermountains upcoming new run of ES44ACs. I udnerstand that due to economic sancition issues, Intermountains new run of the ES44s might come come until next year, the year after or after that.

They are confirmed for production, which is a good sign.

Intermountains website is a tid tad connfusing to navagate thru and I cant find a good ETA date list, so I have to as what are your own ideas of when they might come out?

You might try emailing IM directly. Seems better than getting a bunch of speculative answers from folks you don’t work at IM. Just sayin’…

I see, I will do just that tstage.

I wouldn’t put much faith of any kind in Intermountain right now. As a dealer, I’ve been attempting to contact someone there regarding orders. Every time I reach out, I’m told somebody will get back to me on Monday. That same story line has been handed to me every month for the last eight months !!!

I’ve pretty much given up on stocking anything Intermountain at this point.

Mark.

That’s too bad Mark. I have always had excellent customer service from InterMountain in the past, but I haven’t contacted them recently.

They produce good models. I hope that they can return to being a great supplier.

oh boy this not a good sign. First we have MTH recently closing business. Now Intermountain, what is this economic sanctions your talking about. Are they financially in trouble right now? Is this the reason they are not fullfilling orders.

Hi Motley, I realize now that I should have typed tarifs instead of economic sanctions so do forgive my working. There was concern that due to model railroading being included in the list of newlly to be tariffed goods coming from China to the US, manufactures of model trains would have to relicate their factories to countrys with even more inexpensive labor costs than China to deal with this.

Intermuntain seems to be consistant as they are bringing out there new line of value coal gondolas in single car or six car packs, N Scale SD40-2s, so I feel they are at least pushing out what they can at the moment.

That was walked back a long time ago - all the articles are over a year old. Naturally there are no newer articles reporting what really happened - for reasons not to be discussed here.

Rapido has come out with plenty of new items. Atlas has shipped new items. BLI has shipped new items.

Remember these are mostly small companies - and people are not going to offices to work right now in many places, either by choice or by requirements. Response is expected to be slow.

Does anyone remember when Intermountain released ES44’s in the “Famous Image Collector Series?”

I see and understand better Randy. Lets just be patiant and let time tell.

Hundreds of items, and only one product is marked as “in production”, and even it has no ETA listed. …

That whole China factory shut down fiasco caught them with their pants down and they are still trying to regain their composure.
