any value to labels on boxes?

I’ve got some post war accessories with original boxes. The label on the box is from a Firestone dealer in New Rochelle< New York.

I grew up with The *** VanDyke show which took place in New Rochelle.
I think it’s a cool label. Do labels on Lionel boxes make a difference in the value?

I’m guessing here, but I would say generally NO, not for small local dealer markings. However, Madison Hardware or something special from the factory, might command a premium. Of course, as with anything, find the right person, and the sky’s the limit. [:)]

Like Big Boy, I don’t think it would add to the value, but it certainly does make it more interesting. If given the choice, I think many collectors would chose to buy an item with an old label (or a price tag) on the original box than one that doesn’t. I know I would. I adds some character to it. I think what you have is a really neat thing and a great conversation piece. I too, like the *** Van *** show.
