Jesse Robertson, 19, Swan Lake, NY. I don’t have my own layout but I belong to a club in Liberty NY about 15 minutes from where I live. You’re certainly right I do learn a lot from the more mature members of this forum.

Since were takling about teens, on the trains.com forums I started a teen railfan forum, a place for teens to talk trains!!! All teens are welcome / encouraged to stop in!!!

Noah Here, 14 from Reedsburg WI

Being a longstanding member of this forum, I can tell you that there are quite a few Teen modelers on here. Many stay in the wood work more, so to speak, and others, like Scott, Yoshi, Matthew, Jonathon, Chris and myself are more well known around the community.

I agree entirely, the knowledge I have gained from this forum is far to much to mention.
It really is a great place!!!

Matt, 14 Redding, California

I have been obsessed with trains since I was 2. Almost finished with a HO 4x8, helping my younger brother (11) build a 4x5 N scale, My garden railroad, building a 7 1/2" gauge speeder, helping a friend build a 7 1/2" gauge railroad, and volunteer on two 15" gauge railroads, one public (www.onprailroad.5u.com) and one private (www.dochemp.com/bigtrains.html)

My train hobby is out of control and I like it that way!

Hi guys, Sorry I’m not a teenager but I’m just glad to see you talking to each other. i started at 12 and now I’m 42, got my son started at 7 or 8 and he’s 19 now still rollin. Good luck it’s a great hobby.

Yeah, there are tons of us, and you’re lucky to have people who enjoy trains at your school. We have 2000 people at ours, and 2 people like trains. Me, and another guy. The main differences between us are:
People don’t call him 'Trainboy" in the hall
He is popular
he will have a girlfriend before he leaves school
Matthew

Yeah, I had better be well known! I work my butt off around this place![:D] I’m glad that someone acknowledges that I’m around here.[^]

I’m joking, I’m joking.[:o)] Don’t want to ruin my image.[8]

Victor, 17, and working on an 8’ x 16’ by myself. Going pretty well.

Joe, 17, Long Island NY. And dispite my name, I am not stuck arm chairing anymore.

ahh its cool, my name is joe too and i don’t do that

Congratulations to all the teen modelers here on the forum. There are probably many more who haven’t identified themselves yet.

Glad you participate on this forum (and others, apparently!). You may be asking a lot of questions now, but YOU will be the ones to answer the questions in the future! And it will be a great future for model railroading with more guys like you.
