I know what it’s like looking for a nice deal for quality freight cars. The Bowsers are going for $12 (at least here in Florida) which is not a bad price considering that other brands are $20 and over.

Keep checking Ebay and internet dealers, but use caution.

I have a Walthers Item 932-4682, 84’ paired Airslide hopper lettered for the Missouri Pacific (grey with black lettering), car #720989, unit A and B. The two sections are joined by a drawbar instead of couplers, each section is a complete single bay hopper with dump aparatus, there is a standard two axle truck under each section and when connected the total length is 84’.

It is not in the 2005 HO Model Reference Book but is listed on the Walthers online catalog, currently “sold out”, price $14.98.

This un-built kit can be yours for $10 and I pay regular freight to any Continental US city. Like many modelers, I bought it and put it away for a rainy day but never got to it. All the kit parts are still in the box.
