I ask that question because the members in that group feel that Model Railroader’s identification of their endeavor as On2-1/2 not On30 is evil. I really don’t care myself. I was just wanted to know if anyone from the Conspiracy wanders out of that universe[:0].
I feel a better name would be OnHO but that is moot at this time[:D].

Seems to me the time to fight this battle was during the era when Eggerbahn introduced HO n 2 1/2 and people started to model Sn 3 1/2. That was in the 1960s well before On30 became popular.

I have no clue what the controversy is, but it seems like every loco I want is On30 but not HO. It’s making me a little toaster strudel with out the icing.
We S scalers love On30, slice a little off the top, re-guage and ’ violla , instant S equiptment.
I’m pondering getting two of the Bachman side rod switchers and doing them in SP tiger stripes, not true to prototype, but oh, so tempting[:D]
