anybody ordered from KadeeTrains.com?

They seem to be very rigid about payment and shipping, and no phone calls.

Hal

And?

If you mean Kadee couplers I have ordered couplers from them.

I’ve placed on-line orders for G-scale couplers from them on a couple of occasions and had no problems or complaints about their policies.

Kadee is dedicated more to manufacturing than selling directly to the public, and expect people to acquire products through a hobby shop if at all possible.

Post removed - I was way off in my comments. I went to the site the OP is referring to and everything he says looks to be true.

Dave

I thought at first the email I got from KadeeTrains might be a scam; they are internet only, have no phone, accept only credit cards, and ship only by Priority mail. 14 cars were going to cost $35 to ship. But after posting, I found their ad also on the main Kadee page, so they must be a related venture.

Hal

Well, Kadee is about as legit as you can get in the model railroad biz. I’ve ordered through my dealer when there’s something I need, as I can get it at a better price that way. Not done biz directly, but I’m certain they’d still provide great customer service and quality products.

Kadee Trains.com is not the same as Kadee, The Coupler People.

Kadee Trains is an Internet dealer and as far as I know has no connection to Kadee, The Coupler People.

Rich,

Good for You. Took the words right outta’ my mouth. [Y]

And the fine print says they only accept paypal so,I wonder if that is a e-bay store/seller?

Frank, let’s share the glory! [:-*]

Rich

When I replied about ordering G-scale couplers directly from Kadee (The Coupler People), I never noticed the OP’s ‘KadeeTrains’ company name was not the same.

Seems to be a deliberate attempt to confuse shoppers. If KadeeTrains was really the coupler company, they probably would not be selling other brands of products.

After going to the KadeeTrains.com web site and reading their order terms, refund policies, shipping, etc., I have to agree with the OP that they are not very customer friendly – no telephone; no indication of where they are physically located; will answer questions only by email (maybe); will accept only PayPal.

Agreed.

When you put them in Google, it reads “Discount Model Trains & Couplers”.

Not nice.

Rich

Larry,

You’re probably correct…but a second rate one though. I have delt with a couple of E-bays sanctioned distributors and so far they have been great. Nothing like I read about the site in question.

Take Care!

Frank

I don’t think I will be ordering from this ‘KadeeTrains’ unless it is a e-bay store and I don’t think it is.

That’s interesting. I wonder what Kadee’s lawyer thinks of KadeeTrains.com?

Someone should ask Sam The Answer Man.

Rich

Yeah, Sam may have an answer.

Anyway, if you want to order online from the REAL Kadee, try this link: http://www.kadee.com/store/index.php

Apparently they were paying attention. Take a look at the press release dated today on the site home page from the links given earlier in this thread

Guy

Cool. [8D]
