Anybody want a Flanger

The NS is selling excess equipment on their web site WWW:NSCORP.COM
Some of the stuff for sale include a Flanger, snow plows, spreaders and assorted crawlers and trailers.
Some of this rolling stack may predate CR and might have some historical value.
You could also add tracks to your driveway and keep it clear with a RR snow plow.[:D]

Ooh ooh! Do they have rotary plows?

Lessee, now. Tear down garage to make way for plow storage. Acquire 44 tonner to push plow. Tear out driveway (all 75’ of it) and replace with new driveway with rails embedded. Build engine house for 44 tonner. Buy house next door so I have room to build new garage for truck.

Sounds like a plan! A rotary would be nice. Put the snow over on the other side of the house, where it’ll be out of the way…

Good one Larry!!!

I actually have room for it without buying the lot next door. My problem is, I don’t think it has the turning radius to do my circular driveway.[swg]

Be careful with that rotary, the force of the flying snow could easily break a window.[:0][:p][;)]

With a rotary, you could put the snow in a neighbor’s yard! Could be useful, if your neighbor(s) are lowlife slimeballs.

Snow would easily clear the house, and the neighbor over on that side has a huge front yard - extra snow won’t bother him at all…[^]

Just extend the wing on the spreader, anything within 30 feet of the track is toast! (including the neighbor?)[:D][:D][:D]

Wondering who determined the condition of the equipment? Obvious that Conrail was interested in wasting money more on the operating side than the M/W side…I don’t think any of it would be let go if it was still serviceable by NS (Who generally put a higher premium on their M/W equipment than CR)

MC-

Based upon the stuff we worked with (plows etc) on CR a LOT of it was past it’s prime several years ago. This is probably just the NS version of a garage (garba’ge) sale…

Snow plow… seems like that would make a nice bumper for my truck. I’m not sure how i’ll be on gas millage though.
