I guess anyone can be a TCA member now days this guy claims to be a memebr of the TCA but check out what he is calling a caboose http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lionel-No-1656-Steam-Switcher-0-4-0-and-Caboose-No-Reserve-/130940024223?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item1e7ca2359f#ht_1282wt_946
That is funny [(-D] Tender/Caboose? Take your choice.
Being a member of TCA only means two things: two members validated you and you paid your dues. Nothing more. Well, you do get to go to York and THAT is a big deal, IMO [tup]
The only requirement now is the money, which is $35 or $50 per year, depending on which part of the web site you are looking at.
You know that scares me when we have kids who know more than ones able to get into york to sell things if all it takes is 2 memebrs validate you but then if I rememebr now that is even waved jou just have to send in your fees/memebrship funds and application
There isn’t a pop quiz for joining the TCA - enthusiasm for toy trains, and as mentioned, the price of membership - are the key elements. You don’t have to know Fandor from Dorfan … and I guess most people would want it that way.
You don’t even need two members anymore, just sign up and pay the $35.00. TCA membership gives you a quarterly magazine, a paper periodical and the right to attend the eastern division York meet. It sets standards for the hobby, doesn’t make you an expert on anything.
PM the guy and ask for his TCA number and find out who he is.
Maybe he’s just blowing smoke.
Don’t forget the online TCA x-change! [pi]
What I really was getting at i guess is like above mentioned I betting this one isn’t just saying he is to try and get better saless
The poster admitted he used a wrong term and closed the auction.
Yeah as my wife says he probably got forty eleven questions stating so and got tired of all the corrective questions lol
