…gettting those latches in place on the Athearn blue box reefers? I’ve been struggling for the last half hour and still only have one in place.
Anyone have any tips? Thanks.

I try to push them through from inside the car, and then grab them from the top with needle-nose pliers and pull them into place. I’ve always found it hard to get them in from the top. I don’t apply any glue until they’re in place.
And then I crawl around on the floor until I find the ones I’ve dropped. I do this on a tile floor, and I usually end up using a flashlight, and sweeping up everything from the floor with a brush and pan, and then sifting through the collected rubble to find the dang thing.
You are not alone.
It’s been years since I built one of the BB reefers - glad they come inRTR now!!![:D]
Thanks. Mr. B. I tried your tip and it worked like a charm! [bow]

" You skipped the step about putting on your Opti-Visor to extend your flashlight search since you can’t see through the bottom of your bifocals while crawling about the floor before resorting to the dust pan and brush. I too suffer with an old mottled dark gray tile floor and have not stopped laughing since I read your reply- thank you Mr. Beasley!
I just put 'em in from the top, only I start by shoving them in rotated 90 degrees, then twisting them into place.
