Anyone familiar with Model Power/Faller E Trains?

I am starting to clean out my old train room to set up new train layout in a new room. I came across a few Faller/Model Power E Trains that my grandfather got me in the early 80s. Im not sure of the scale, I have an HO layout an these are much bigger.

I thought about giving them to my nephew for his first layout and would like to add more to the set. Or not, Im not sure if they would be good for a 5 year old.

I wqould post pictures, but Im not sure how to on this forum.

My recollection is that these trains were meant for kids as introductory items so your proposed use sounds perfect. Your post would probably get more attention in the Kids and Model Railroading heading of this part of the Forum, or in the the Model Railroader or Classic Toy trains parts of the forums.
