Lantic Sugar refinery used to be in my city of Saint John, N. B. Canada. At one time they had special rail cars to haul finished sugar to customers. They haven’t been seen for many years, and the refinery has recently been torn down, as they moved their operations to Montreal.
I’ve been trying to collect info and photos on the Lantic Sugar hoppers and tank cars to possibly have some custom decals made. I have mention of this on my website. A few months ago I received an e-mail from a woman who lives in Burlington, Vermont. She said there were Lantic Sugar cars on the waterfront in her city, and was looking for some info on the firm. I supplied what info I had and asked if it would be possible for her to get photos of the cars for my project.
I asked her again about a month later, but have yet to hear anything back. So my request - Is anyone on this forum in the Burlington area and could they get me a photo or two? Digital images would be fine.
