I’ll be there!
Harrisburg as in PA?
Can you give us more details/link to website and info?
Yes, Harrisburg, PA. June 21st - June 26th. http://www.nationalnscaleconvention.com/ Might be sold out. I know the hotel is sold out.
Would love to go there, but it is a little to far from my home.
Thats Ok about sold out hotel…we can make it a long day , but we can do a day trip or settle into a motel betwixt home and there!
Thank you for the link and info…
Sweet! I’ll be there too!
You do realize it’s a multi-day event, right?
Nope. Never heard of it before and we won’t be going.
My Other Half{MOH} is into N scale trains, particularly european models, and so we thought it was a train show you were talking about.
At $75 per person and $35 for additional family members and MOH maybe having one of those days off it is not worth our while to go to this thing. That would be plus 4.5 hours of gasoline ON WAY and meals too…naw too rich for our blood.
Thanks for the info anyway.
You’re welcome. And here I am flying to it…
Some N scalers I talked to at Galesburg RR Days said they prefer the National N convention to the National NMRA, claiming they get more out of it and knew more people to have fun with. As an HO modeler it seemed insular to me (since I enjoy visiting non-HO layouts including garden and live steam), but I do understand the preference for a concentration of things directly relevant to your own situation (which is why I prefer the national meets of my favorite railroad’s historical society to more generic NRHS conventions).
What I did find somewhat amusing is that these particular N scalers have no use for the Ntrak types and wish they’d go away. That may be a small sample but it seems it is not all one big happy N scale family …

Dave,There are many reasons for such thoughts to include N Scale is beyond such limited operation as loop running on three loops. There are advanced N Scale switching layouts that will rival any HO switching layout.
N Scalers like their HO counterparts vary in thoughts and preferences…I fully believe any modular layout regardless of scale is dated since there are better modular designs then just 3 track loop running…

I also perfer a all N Scale meet over a mixed bag of scale…Of course I perfer attending a 100% HO meet as well…
To me its like this when it comes to other scales then N or HO…
I am a catfisherman, why would I attend a pro bass meet when I have nothing in common with those folk? I would feel more at home among follow catfishermen.
