Well, I seem to have misplaced my part sheet. Ho seeker oly has the GP18 for Proto 2000.
Anyone got one they wouldn’t mind scanning or telling me the part number for the motor with flywheels?
The reason being the orignal one broke (one of the wires to the commutator got loose or something). I tried making the hole in the P2K’s flywheels bigger so I could use it with an athearn motor I have, but that didn’t work out right.
The ones from the newer P2K SD7s might work too.
I have that sheet right here in front of me. There is no listing of separate flywheels at all. The number for the replacement motor/flywheel combination is: 584738. There is a replacement set listed for the motor brush/spring/clips, which is: 584737. Hope this helps.
Do you happen to have the number for the worms and drivelines too?
Sure do. One package of worms-er, worm gears and drivelines-584739. Includes the worm retainer as well.
Well, I tried walthers for the motor and driveshafts and worms.
They have both, but will only sell the worms and driveshafts under a warranty repair. I didn’t need the extra set of worms and drives for my P2K SD9, but I needed them for another unit (Athearn GP35, with a buehler motor that has the P2K flywheels, needs the worms to go to the trucks in the units. Fits perfectly). Anyone know of how too get there without getting a unit for just parts?
What happend to the other guys post saying that he’d sell me a motor if I needed it? The price at Walthers seems to have gone up.
