Still waiting for my latest action-packed exciting issue of “Chuggers”, that’s what we call “Trains” here at the “Festung Firelock”.
I got mine on 6 December, and I’m in Australia…
Is that name from the “Chuggington” cartoons?
M636C
To M636C: No, I’ve called it “Chuggers” since I started getting into trains in 1989. I keep a little bit of sillyness in my hobbys so I don’t get TOO serious, this is supposed to be fun after all! By the way, know what I call “Railroad and Railfan” magazine? “Chugger Lust!”
I got mine and it is a good off-beat issue. The in-depthc coverage of the Buckingham Branch was excellent, and Joel Jensen’s steam photography shows there is still useful subject matter in this area allowing good photogrpahic creativity. Dave Middleton’s posthumas article reminded what a truly great gentelemen he was, and how stunning these British bridges are. I read it cover-to -cover with only extremely important interruptions. Like food.
Did anyone got there Feb trains yet? the mail is really slow this year for some reason.
Received my Feb. 2012 issue in the regular mail yesterday - Sat., 31 Dec. 2011.
Love the QNS&L article ! Sad about the loss of electrics to 2 Texas power plants. More on each later.
- Paul North.
…Yes, two days ago. {Friday}.
Hasn’t arrived yet, but I suspect it’s a day or two later than usual because of the holidays and because the 1st fell on a Sunday. I bet it’s in the afternoon mail.
I got my Trains Today Jan 3, 2012.[:D]
