Anyone have new traditional-sized K-Lionel rolling stock?

Hey folks, was at a train shop recently and finally saw some of the new K-Lionel by Lionel cars. Without pulling them out of the box, I was immediately stuck by the look of the new trucks. They seem to resemble the kind used by RMT. The wheels were literally unblackened silver, and the trucks themselves looked “lightweight” as compared to the previous two styles of trucks used by K-Line on the Classic cars, and then the Train-19 cars. Even the replacement K-Line Husky truck sets were more substantial than the way these appeared in the box.

So am really curious as to what you folks think of these cars as compared to the previous K-Line ones … any of them who have these new ones. I do like some of the new cars, but from what I saw in the box, I’d prefer the prior Train-19 trucks or even the Lionel plastic ones used currently on their basic rolling stock.

I do not have any but, I have looked at the 027 car trucks and they appear to be a new design, not anything like the K-line sprung trucks of the past. they look quite nice on a car thats low priced. They should run well.

I have the K-Lionel B&O dump car,and the trucks are quite nice.

They do feel a little lighter than the ones K-line used.

The wheels on mine are blackened, and not silver.(I also like that they have swirly backs)
