Just wondering if there is anyone in the Kenner/New Orleans, Louisiana area on here? There does not seem to be much activity in this area. I’m hoping that will change.
Pardon my grammer, but "It Ain’t No Better WAY UP NORTH (quote of JUSAIN WILSON)!
I understand Run Eight. It seems the closest we get to a train show is at least 70 -100 miles away from my immediate area except for the local club open house once or twice a year. It is disappointing because there seems to be an active modeler base around here, but not much other oragnization.
Perhaps someone in my area would be interested in building a module or two for a portable layout or display layout?
Hi Ken, I’m up in NW LA, same thing up here, most shows I go to are Dallas/FT Worth. There is a guy that hangs out over at MRH named Art Houston who is down in that area. He also has a YouTube channel.
I’ve met Art and been to visit his Grande Pacific Railroad, it is very impressive. In fact he has just started a new Houma Louisiana Model Railroad Club. It’s just that he too is 60-70 miles away. The local club here has a large layout, but I’m not ready to commit to a big club scene since I do have my own small layout in my house to work on and operate. I just think it wood be fun to build a module or two with others to share ideas and perhaps learn some new techniques.
I was just wondering if there might be anyone in the Kenner/New Orleans, Louisiana area who were new to this forum?
