I recently made a purchase thru Joel’s Toys and Trains on eBay, and have not received my package, nor have I been able to reach them by phone or e-Mail.
The last 2 feedbacks were, within the last week, negative, and stated slow, or non shipments. All other were very positive.
Does anyone have any information on this company? is Joel ok?

I bought a 45N gateman from Joel on ebay in 2006. I had no problems. I think that Joel has a job that requires him to travel, so that might explain the delay. I think that his cell number is listed in the auctions. Is that the number you tried?
I think that I have purchased from him without any problems, however, unless you provide his Ebay seller-id, I cannot be certain.
I don’t know about this guy, but some only ship once or twice a month. I recently purchased two switches and it took nearly three weeks to get them. Feedback for seller was mostly good, with some mentioning slow shipment.
Seems I purchased on 9th & he ships on 28th. I checked postage & it wasn’t USPS fault. Funny how payment is expected in 5 days and shipment may take forever.
Just received word from Joel. He’s just a bit backed up on shipping.

I am a steady customer of his. He has a store at Quakertown, PA. He mentioned once to me some time ago that a family member has serious health issues. This may account for a certain distraction and he may have a lot on his plate. IMO he is one of the most ethical persons in our hobby.
