Anyone know this modle engine??

I have come across a seemingly very old cast iron model train set that looks approx late 1800’s or early 1900’s. There seems to be no front to it. It says New York Central Lines on the left side of each side and 3238 N.Y. & H.R. on the right side of each side. There is a logo on one end of the engine that says Germany. I have pictures to send if anyone thinks they can identify this oddity. Thanks. My email is
