Anyone like being a new frieght conductor with CSX?

I hear the negatives but someone must like it.

My take? It’s better work than a lot of other jobs, and the pay is decent, and at the end week you don’t have to feel guilty for having taken advantage of people.

So, it’s relative.

Even though I had to pay tuition for Choo-Choo U; I know it was the best investment I ever made. I went from working 2-3 jobs, 60 hours a week to make ends meet grossing about 25k a year to working 40 hours a week pulling in 60k as a train dispatcher. My first year as a conductor, including the time I was at the training school in January and part of February , I still made 43k my first year. Don’t let all of the negativity get to you. A lot of my coworkers really don’t know how good they have it. Yes, there are methods that I disagree with when it comes to the management of my employer, but there are way more good things than there are bad.

I’ll be sure to take that into consideration. [:D]
