Anyone modeling in Z scale?

I was looking at some Z scale stuff on one of the online dealers and was thinking of buiulding a Z scale layout on my coffee table and put a glass top over it. Just wondering if anyone has had experience with Z scale?

Don’t have a clue as to what happened to the text I typed for the above post.

This is my 24" x 48" Zcale show layout. Pics taken last Saturday at our club show.

I used to model in Z scale, however, my eyes had different plans in mind thus my switch to HO. Also, the availability (I modeled Maerklin Z scale) in the U.S. was limited and very, very expensive. I would purchase items in Germany the several times a year I would have to go on business, but even then, it is very, very expensive. Glad I made the switch to HO.

Thanks for the responses. Nice looking small layout Catt, thanks. Think I’ll stick to my original plans on using N scale for the coffee table. Ken

You will find that N scale is quite a bit more reasonble price wise,but even at that your wallet may still cry uncle at times.[:D]

Wallet can cry with any scale, that new tiny stuff to 1:1.
