I just noticed an ad in the new MR for Precision Craft Models new Ajin built, N scale E7…could this be a spin off of BLI? The ad format was very similar in my opinion. I’m just curious if anyone else picked up on it.
Thanks

I suspect that PCM is the maker of BLI products.
I noticed it too, Wes. Made me wonder if Precision Craft is actually BLI’s N-scale division. It will be interesting to see what transpires in the coming months. Speaking of BLI, I just checked their website, seems the Santa Fe 2-10-2 has now been pushed back to June. Sigh, I’d really like to get one before they cart me off to the home.

PCM is essentially a spin-off of Broadway Limited. It is not the same company, but many of the same principals are involved.
Thanks guys. I had a feeling they were related to each other, but I guess what threw me off was the seperate addresses.
Tom, I saw that they pushed it back again…I have a bunch of thier CZ cars on order as well and they are supposed to come out this month, but I’m not holding my breath yet. There aren’t any pics available, so I have a feeling they will be late as well…oh well.
I noticed that too. At first glance I thought it was a Broadway ad…
Just like Micro Trains is the N scale spin off of Kadee…
True, but aren’t Kadee and Micro-Trains located in the same building?
Micro-Trains isn’t really a “spin-off” of Kadee in the classical sense, it more of a split. Kadee was (and is, AFAIK) a family owned company. At some point the family decided for whatever reasons to split it on scale lines, resulting in the current situation of two fully distinct companies, sharing only some history and patents. (Most of which have probably expired by now…)
The two companies aren’t even on the same street, and curiously, neither one has links to the other’s website… hmmmm…
