THIS IS NOT NEW FOR MAC. MANY YEARS AGO APPLE COMPUTER PAID MCINTOSH AUDIO FOR THE RIGHT TO CALL AN EARLY COMPUTER A MCINTOSH.

I believe this was an intellectual property infringement case. Apple didn’t pay to use it, they used it and then had to pay. No?
