I have been following several posts on this forum. I must say that I am owerwhelmed with the amount of expert assistance that is afforded by members of this forum. Thank you ever so much. I have gained more insight into this hobby. Keep up the good work.
rduiker, Welcome to the forum! [#welcome]
Yep, this is a great place to learn and talk trains with other in the hobby. Keep on postin’.
Chuuuffff, chuuufff, Whoooooooooot!, chuuufff, chuuufff…
Yep, me too. I’ve learned enough that I am confidently going forward and building my first layout!
Thanks to all here who are so generous with their time, knowledge and help! Without it, many of us like me would either be floundering badly or quitting.
Thanks for the hand-up!
Welcome indeed…
If you have not used it yet, try the seach facility for the forum. I use it all the time to get answers on any number of topics. It is a great resource.
Welcome back!
Yes, this is really cool and the folks on it are great. Everytime I’ve asked a question I get not only many answers, but several different ways to attack a problem. I figure this forum has already saved me at least a dozen years of “learning the hard way.”!
What is really neat is the few times that I’ve been able to help someone. Although I don’t consider myself an expert in any area of model railroading, I do enjoy the ability to maybe help someone out that is running into the same problem that I have. I can’t tell you how great it feels when someone responds to something I’ve posted with a “thanks!” Although I will never be able to contribute as much as I’ve taken from this forum, I’m sure gonna try. This is truly a great hobby made up of great people!
I totally agree with everyone’s comments regarding this forum. I got back into model railroading about a year ago and I had many questions. I built the N scale model railroad that grows with some modifications and I had many questions that were not addressed in the book. This forum has been a great help. It has answered all my questions and some that I didn’t even know to ask.
I am ready to start another layout and I am going DCC and code 55 track. I think I have enough information to get this done. I am even going to put this layout in my office at the College. [:)]
Thanks to everyone who shares their experience and knowledge to these forums.
