Appreciate April issue of Trains mag.

Train’s staff: Just want to say thanks for the extensive and wide range covering of “High Speed Rail” in the current issue…Should be quite interesting.

I haven’t finished reading the issue yet…about half, three quarters of the way through it. But it certainly presents High Speed Rail in full here and abroad without any nasty jabbing. Certainly most members of Congress, our governors, and those otherwise involved in debating HSR and deciding on HSR should have copies of this issue at their beck and call and renewed when it gets threadbare, torn, and worn. Especially enlightening to me is how HSR is concieved, built, owned, and operated in Europe. Another point is how pragmatic the Japanese (and the Europeans) are when approaching the problem of having to move people.
