April 12-13 shutdown of Silver Service and Auto Train and CSX lines...

[?][?][?][V]From what I understand…The Shutdown was due to a bridge in disrepair in Salema NC (excuse my spelling) does anyone have any further info on this…i was suppose to leave on train #92 Silver Star JAX-Columbia SC but was informed by the local news that the shutdown had happened… I believe Amtrak could have taken better measures to help stranded passengers…[:(!][:(!][?]

Go to “News Wire” (at the very top of the page) – they provided a fair amount of information, over the past few days.
As for what Amtrak could have done – surely it’s more a question of what a publicly funded transportation system should be providing for its fare-paying passengers, in this day and age.
