April Fool's

Just got my April issue. I’m guessing I found it[:D]

Edited to remove spoilers!

Shush!![sigh] I havn’t gotten mine yet!

Therefore I edited it!!

So…subscribers in Canada get theirs first? Cool, must be in recognition of our hockey prowess!!!

Glad they started doing that again. My favorite one has to be either the review of the 1:1 scale boxcar, or the “operating a steam locomotive with an actual shoveling station”

It was already revealed a week ago on this very forum – look for the thread about the analog rivet counting tool.

Now whaddaya got left for amusement when April rolls around? [swg]

Wayne

Its OK Wayne - my memory is terrible!

I finally got around to unwrapping my April issue. I haven’t started to read it yet but I’m sure by the time I get to the article that I will be enthralled and try to order one![(-D][(-D][(-D]

Usually I don’t get the April Fools joke story now days. Probably because I have seen so much Dilbert style crazy stuff come down at work that either everything seems like a joke or nothing is.

THIS is by far and away the best April Fools story ever told. They still talk about it on SubChat. It comes up at least twice a year, and gets thousands of electons spilled over it. There are more details about it on the site of the LION.

Didn’t MR repeat that theme of an invisible subway layout as their April Fool’s issue a few years ago?

For those of you who get a late delivery (like me) and can not wait, the “review” is available on line here:

Rather than using Fools Gold for the high end version, I would have thought they would have used polished military grade Unobatinium alloy, the same material used in the frames of many advance order locomtives

Good greif, it’s February still and we’re talking about April fools? Thats the first thing I thought when I saw the title of this topic.

I’ve always loved how you would get magazines dated for 2 months in advance. That always seemed messed up to me, whats up with that? It’s like some sort of “game”. Why can’t magazines publish in sync with “real life”?

Define Real Life.

Mag stays on store shelf till the end of the cover month. This way the issue stays on each shelf two months.

Seems resonable to the LION.
