has anyone seen the April issue in the mail yet???

HI, [#welcome] to the forums (even though you joined 5 years ago). I sent an email to Kalmbach and received this reply:

Thank you for the inquiry regarding your Model Railroader subscription. The April issue is in transit and should arrive no later than March 9th.

Due to much consolidation within the printing industry and changes in the U.S. Postal Service, you may see variances in delivery of your issues from what you are accustomed to. Our goal remains the same - subscribers receive their issues approximately three weeks before the issue month. Thank you for your patience.

I received mine yesterday. Along with my copy of Trains. It is a good thing. I was suffering form withdrawls.

Surprising to see what some folks are concerned about. I receive twelve issues in twelve months and I’m satisfied. I have no idea on what day they arrive.

If you are an in-store “MR Cherry-picker” (like me) – MR is usually on bookshelves by the 10th of each month. The 10th is a reasonable target-date to begin worrying about receiving your MR subscription – If that’s your gig.

Nothing new, you should see some of the (sometimes) nasty letters to the editor in the 40’s - during a WORLD WAR - when issues didn’t arrive within a day of when they usually did. And back then, you didn’t get the issue at the end of the month two months ahead of the cover date. I haven’t been home in a week so I don’t know if mine came int he mail, but my electronic edition was available on Zinio on Feb 25.

I haven’t recieved my MR or TRAINS mags yet. I AM going through withdrawal. They usually arrive on the 28th or 29th, the 1st ir 2nd at the VERY latest… But, if they are to arrive by the 9th, I guess I shall hang on for a few days before I complain.

I also get nervous when my bills don’t arrive on time. I am planned for them to be paid before the due date, naturally. With the mail service wanting to switch off delivery days {Saturday} I like to know my payments will get there on time.

AND NO, I won’t go to online bill paying, I’ve had my screenname hacked, my server account hacked, my computer hacked and Credit Card comprimised from online ordering {the ONLY thing I used that card for for that reason}…and my personal info stolen via computer hacking into a major utility company…so NO, I don’t trust online bill paying yet!!!

It will arrive when it does, and if it doesn’t by the 9th, then I shall complain to K, in the mean time…where is my {late} Cable bill???

I missed a few I think someone taking them from my mailbox.
