Are Kitbash HO locomotives a quality product?

I’m just starting in model railroading and haven’t invested much yet. I was wondering if Kitbash HO locomotives were of high quality. Also, which DCC unit is the best to invest in for someone on a tight budget.

It depends on who did the kitbashing. About your DCC question. Search the forum. There are litterally dozens of threads discussing this.

There’s a company name Kitbash Depot found at: http://www.kitbashdepot.com . Is this a reliable company and are their products good.

Briefly perusing the website you provided shows me that the are engaged
in selling many commonly available Model Railroad items. I know nothing about the company itself, but they seem to specialize in kits, which is good. I think you can
rely on the merchandise quality. As for ordering from the shop, I suggest you
call them and inquire about their policies.

I might be a little cautious with these guys. The only thing they have under passenger cars are undec Athearn and Roundhouse both of which are not in production and haven’t been for some time.

On the bright side, though, both Trainworld and M.B. Klein have a lot of out-of-production stuff in their inventory, and they are both very good vendors. The question is whether Kitbash actually has these things in stock.

The web site appears to be just another on-line hobby shop. Nothing special - I would compare prices, as they are not the best. Also, I see nothing that they make, just a lot of Bowser/Rivarossi/BLI in the ads.
