Are my eyes playing tricks?

Recently when I go down to work on my layout, it seems there is more brown amongst the green. Upon closer inspection, in various non-connected areas small patches of the green Woodland Scenics grass seem to be gone as if they were eaten away. Sometimes there seems to be a brown fluff where the grass was. Since I can’t find any traces of insects, I’m at a loss.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Maybe you’ve got mould.

mice? i had some of them that attacked a module of mine. i think they liked the taste of the white glue. they didn’t like the foam but they did leave their calling card everywhere.

That was my first thought too, and this is the time of year they are trying to move inside as well…might be an idea to set a trap and see what you catch.
