Is there anything left of Hawaii’s railroads other than tiny little tourist lines?
I didn’t see any the last time I was there. There might be a private sugar cane train left somewhere, but most went to trucks in the 60s and 70s. The Lahina & Kaanapali is one that has survived to haul a different cargo.
The biggest operation was a narrow gage on Oahu. In its heyday, it shuttled soldiers around and served the Navy at Peal Harbor. Just a remnant has been preserved.
Off the top of my head, I don’t recall any standard gage track on the islands. Maybe someone with more internet savy can find one.
