Aristocraft/G.H.C./New One Model

I have dozens and dozens of these engines! They all run superbly.

So, my question is, who likes 'em. I have found they run fairly well with 12 cars, and I mean the 0-4-0 camelbacks and up. Not the CB&Q, of course. But a great runner (I have 4 of those). In total I have 43 of these masterpieces, 13. 0-4-0 camelbacks alone, 8. 4-6-2 camelbacks, 4. friscos, 9. Thomas Rogers, yeah I’m sick, and many, many others.

You are talking three different companys although GHC may have sold some under their brand.

I have a 2-8-2 that is marked Aristocraft, but it says “New One” on the bottom. 2 out of 3 ain’t bad.

i have a new one, ho size steamer…

most were -apparantly- mostly die cast construction …

Thanks, not as knolagable on the very early years as what the company did in later years.

Wow that many- I have to admit I do find them interesting but do not have any. It seems like the majority of the ones shown on ebay suffer from zincpest and are in several pieces. They seem to be comparitively rare probably because of the zincpest (and it sounds like you bought the rest of them [:)]) I have been keeping my eye out for one of the Colorado and Southern ones- These seem to be pretty rare especially in good condition- Although they “modified” a narrow gauge engine to standard gauge- I was going to use one for a dual gauge switcher with added couplers.

My second locomotive when I was 7 yrs old in 1959 (After a Tyco F7 starter set) was an 0-4-0 camelback, and shortly after a CNJ ten wheeler.
