Does anyone know if this RR operates in daylight on Tuesdays or Wednesdays? And if so, what time(s) do the trains run between Ft. Smith and Springdale? And I’m going to assume they’re still using an all-Alco roster?
Thanks for any/all help!!!

anb740: I might suggst that you check their website @
http://www.amrailroad.com/index.html They are pretty railfan friendly, when one respects the rules.
Also I would also suggest that you Check our a Yahoo Group that is set up with individuals who railfan that region of Ark, Mo, Ks, and Okla.
[arksmook] is the Yahoo Groups Name.
The Arkansas & Missouri has been running Springdale to Fort Smith during daylight the last few weeks due to track work being done north of Springdale. The Monett turn has been running at night. The Fort Smith Turn has been departing Springdale about 9:00 AM. After the track work is completed they will resume rumming Springdale to Monett at night. The best way to determine which way their morning train will run is to ask the crew at Springdale in the morning. The A&M is still an all-Alco railroad.
The A&M runs freight trains every day Monday through Friday. They also run passenger trains this time of the year, on some weekdays and on weekends. Check their website for schedules. When I was there two weeks ago they also ran some private passenger trains north from Springdale to Rogers for school kids which were NOT on their schedule. Listen to your scanner to find out when they run
