Just got my regular US Mail, and thought I had gotten my Trains Mag at first…The January Popular Mechanics has a pic of a GE E44 based Hybrid locomotive on the cover… The article discusses the GE Evolution series and the EMD SD70ACe, as well as increases in tonnage hauled over Railroads compared to the recent past… GPS, and future improvements in braking systems were also touched upon in the article.
Thanks for the tip. Have just sent a note to the in-law’s to be sure and save their copy.
