Article Help please

Hi guys

I am trying to find an article no building a simple Log Car in “G” scale.

Yes I am in the right forum as the artical was in Model Railroader quite a while ago.

Also where could I get some old HO brass straight track pieces needed for the project, on the assumption the article can be found.

Can not help with the article, but as far as HO brass track watch e-bay. There is brass track on it right now.

you can try searching for it in the magazine index

http://index.mrmag.com/

i tried , but didn’t find anything other than a couple of articles from the 1981 and 1985 but they didn’t mention what scale they were so i assume HO (and i didn’t have either issue in my collection)

i searched for log , log car , logcar , logging .

good luck !

What kind of brass rail do you need? I may have a bit. (both new and used) [:-^]

What are ya doing?

Hi rotorranch

Used flat bottom HO brass rail is fine it just has to be reasonably straight ish

its wanted to go on top of the cross beams on a “G” scale log car two lengths per cross beam, in that size it equates to something like 14lb rail which would be correct for what its to be used for.

It’s function on a real car would be two fold one to reinforce the cross beam and two to make it easier to slide logs on and off the car.
