Many years ago there was an article in MR on casting narrow gauge gondolas in resin with one piece bodies. I couldn’t find it in the online index.
Anybody know which issue it might be in?

I remember the article you’re talking about - but I can’t find it either.
There WAS a similar article in the May 2002 MR - page 64.
I believe the more recent article may be better, because it talks about newer, easier to use materials.
I have done some moldmaking and resin casting - it’s not terribly difficult if you take your time and be careful about how you build the molds (to promote the natural exit of air bubbles).
If you have any questions, I’d be happy to answer them (if I can).

Found the article. Jan. 1983. p.82 “Casting Your Own Freight Cars” by David F. Thompson.
Whenever you have a question about what issue a certain article was in, use our Index of Magazines. To find it, scroll all the way to the top of any page on ModelRailroader.com (or Trains.com for that matter) and click the Index of Magazines link in the top center of the page. The Index includes the table of contents from every issue of Model Railroader ever published, plus dozens of other modeling and prototype magazines (e.g. TRAINS) and books. It’s a great research tool and another great reason to be a registered user of Trains.com

First 3 times I tried it it didn’t find the article. After i physically found it by looking through my mag collection, I searched on the title and found it .
If I had been able to find it in the index, I wouldn’t have asked the question.
If you read my original question it say “I couldn’t find it in the online index.”
I tried looking in the on-line index as well. I’m not sure what the problem was - but I couldn’t find it either.
I just happened to have the may 2002 issue around - I had been flipping through it - so I listed that one.
