Just received the latest issue of MR, and am again impressed at the quality of modeling achieved on the Arvern Bay Terminal RR layout. The March 2000 MR had a feature on the layout that inspired me to change to steam-era modeling. Besides these two articles, is there another source for information and photos of the ABT? Does anyone know the Howard Lloyd -Andy?
Andy,
In addition to the March 2000 issue you mentioned, the Index of Magazines cites two other articles on the Arvern Bay Terminal:
The Arvern Bay Terminal Ry, 12x18 room Model Railroader, April 1991, page 96
( HARBOR, LAYOUT, “LLOYD, HOWARD”, TRACKPLAN, HO, MR )
War effort - HO-scale Arvern Bay Terminal Railroad is set during WW II NMRA Bulletin, April 1994, page 22 ( HARBOR, LAYOUT, “LLOYD, HOWARD”, BL )

Thanks Bob. I had ordered the NMRA back issue earlier and I am checking my MR back issues for the March 2000 and April 1991, but was hoping for something more update. That model railroad captures the feel of that era so well, it’s incredible.
Andy,
I visited Howard’s layout during the narrow gauge convention this past summer. He was talking about tearing it out & starting over so he’d have more room for his ship models. Seems he like to build ship models more than trains.
