Bump with this;

Thanks for taking a peek!
I’ll be nice and be the first to ask.
Are these open to criticism?
I’ll tell yah Jerry,
There’s no such thing as bad publicity…
See, you find fault, somebody else disagrees, then people check that E-auction site to see the rest of the pics…
It’s all good.
Here’s a pretty one I JUST finished that needs a home…

Thanks for taking a peek…
Take no prisoners…Do your worst…[:D]
First off I want to thank you for coming over here and whining about how you were critiqued at MTW. It lead to a few changes over there that I’m sure you’re aware of by now.
The Hopper cars have multiple problems. First and most obvious is the reporting marks don’t match. No fantasy excuses here, they would never be in interchange. The air hose is broken off. The wheels and axles need to be weathered. The coupler needs weathering. The wash that you used, puddled in spots and the so called weathering is applied witout any regards to the prototype, if there is one. There is strange blue piping on the B-end of the car and the cars ends show no wheel spray, a very common thing on these cars. The underside of the car should show wheels spray and road grime, but I feel like I’m beating a dead horse here so I’ll go on to the reefer.
The wheels on the reefer, besides being the wrong color look to be two different diameters. I could swear that the right hand, inside wheel is 36", but the pictures are so poor it’s hard to tell. Again you need to weather the couplers. The trucks and wheels represent a friction bearing type where the wheels on the prototype were always oily black from the lube oil coming off the journal box and the trucks themselves were sometines rusty in the center, but always had spilled oil all down the journal boxes.
Like I said before you seem to do well with your buildings and I think you’re tallented in that area. I think you need to pay more attention to honing your freight car weathering skills, by practice and studying the prototype. Even fantasy weathering is based in reality.
Thanks Jerry, you took a lot of time with this response.
Kyle, Jerry hit the nail right on the head with his response.
Granted, the 2 of us have had our “run-ins” in the past, but he DOES know what he’s talking about, as he’s been doing this a lot longer than you or I. LISTEN to what he (& others) say, & go with that. My next model is nearing completion, & there are things I’m not happy with on it, & when I post pics, he’ll more than likely find some more. But that’s OK-weathering train cars is my biggest part of my model railroading hobby, & I’ve learned to accept what others see that I have missed. My goal is to get better with each car-I may or may not on some things, either way it’ll take time as I just started weathering about 2 years or so ago. It’s an ongoing LEARNING process, & even the best weatherers will tell you that.
Jerry, & the others know what they’re talking about. Listen to what they say, & ALSO do as MUCH research prototype-wise as you can, & try to replicate what you see from proto photos.
That said, once improvement is shown, I’ll be one of the 1st to tell you so.
Good Luck!
