Asphalt Paving

I’ve been using Heki or Busch asphalt road product. It is pretty easy to get a nice road but the difficulty I have is cutting it. I’ve been cutting it by drawing an new exacto blade firmly across it while holding down one edge with a steel ruler. This works pretty well when you are dealing with two good size pieces. However, trimming it is a different matter. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I haven’t used this product so I don’t know how thick it is. Would heavy scissors work?

Micro-Mark has a nibbling tool that might also work. I do have the nibbling tool and use it on plastic as well as on metal.

It is about 0.020" thick, soft flexible. The adhesive backing is very sticky. I’ve also tried kitchen scissors but it didn’t cut cleanly. It may have been the pair of scissors. Hm could try my wifes sewing scissors. I wonder if she will notice.

Just as long as you don’t use her pinking shears.

A small paper cutter might work for trimming the ends.
