Athearn BB AC4400 Details (fun)

I decided to look through my trains a couple of days back, and found my Athearn BB AC4400 and realized its a dull looking locomotive. Now I dont mean dull as in paint job, I meant as in detail…

So I decided to give it a plow. Well I didnt have any DEetails West ones so I found some Bachmann Spectrums I had saved from parts for the Dash 8 CW I bought through Bachmann. I looked at a pictures of the two and realized there wasnt much difference so I added the plow cut the snaps off that they had and super glues it to the front.

Next I took some plastic plastic hoses I had of Bachmanns again cu the mounting taps and super glued those where they belong. Finally I noticed my exhaust stack was missing and coulding find it anywhere. SO of course I used Bachmanns Dash 8 spare exhaust stack. and the horn was gone so I filled away the mounting tab off a Bachmanns Dash 8 Horn and vola instant gradification.

I also added Couplr lift bars from extra Bachmann Dash 8 Parts and they look good.

Now all I am after is the correct Ditch lights because the ones I had bought for the Dash 8 wont fit where I need them on the AC4400

Heres two pictures. I did realizes the snow plow was a little to far down and the MU houses slipped while the glue set and I fixed those. Just didnt feel like getting the camera out of the bag today.

Comments good or bad are welcomed.

ok i got lots of looker but no comments whats up with that? As I stated I want good and bad just see how others react to my project/experiement.

[^] Looks nice, really dresses up the front end.

I would suggest numbers in the number boards on the nose, that would help. Also it is amazing what windshield wipers will do.

Nothing wrong with your unit keep up the good work.
