I recently bought one of these units off of Micromark decorated in BNSF. Actually it is a RTR but it is based on Blue Box design. The unit runs fairly smooth right out of the box, but it needs some attention so I can use it on DCC.

Is there a detail kit available for this unit?

Check with Athearn. On eof my BB GP38-2’s was done up with a detail kit that had radiator fans, grills, grab irons, handrails, etc.

Those kits should give you one impressive GP38-2![:D]
