I hate the feeling of pulling on the sides of a loco shell to pull it off of the tabs on the body. I remember reading in MR years ago how someone filed them off - so the shell just lifts right off without risking damaging anything.
I’m thinking about doing this, but would be concearned about other people picking up the loco my wife, for example 
- if it’s left on the dining room table, and dropping it.
Does anyone else do this? Especially after I add extra details, etc., I’m definately going to do this.
