Athearn does good

Last week I tried to contact Athearn via E-mail and telephone concerning broken handrailings on my RTR SD50. Via phone I was only able to leave a voicemail message wherein I stated the broken part number and my mailing address. I asked that they call back as I didn’t want to leave a credit card number on a phone message. In the E-mail I basically wrote the same message.

Well I didn’t get a return call. But Saturday I recieved a package in the mail with the parts I needed nice and straight no charge.

I’ll be sending an e-mail to them soon thanking them for the fast service.

Great to hear about good service these days.

Bob,

That’s good form on your part to reply back and THANK Them for their support. There are too many times we as consumers want to chop off the heads of the folks that supply us. I have found that the Model RR community is just that a community and they are more helpful than not.

Athearn has always been good to me in the way of missing or damaged parts.

One of the reasosn why I don’t mind buying Athearn products

I like Athearn Trains alot. Allan.

I’ll echo good words for Athearn. I had a cracked drive gear recently…in no time a new one arrived in the mail. Good folks…and good running engine!

I glad to see that there are still companies that value their customers. I can’t recall how many times I have been ignored by companies (not just train stuff) with poor customer service.
