I have two of these babies, both with DCC quick plugs. Problem is, when I put in the recommended decoders, they do not work. I have a Digitrax Super Chief that runs everything else great. I pulled the board out of one and installed a NCE decoder w/ harness and it runs great, I would like to just use the quick plugs though? Any suggestions?

yeah i have the same prob with my athern dash 9 and so far ive fried 2 decoders i give up on them
I bought a dash 9 and it didn’t run right at all and I didn’t even get to putting in the decoder!
Anyone else have these problems? I bought an AMD103 with the quick plug, installed a digitrax DH123P and shortly after the motor started running very slowly. Took it apart and noticed the pc board is attached to the top of the motor with a clip (sort of). I removed this and noticed the motor speed picked up quite a bit. I suspect the clip was putting to much pressure on the winding.
I will say it still does not run as it did when it was new. I have since removed the decoder, reinstalled the jumper and am running it on address 00.
I also recently bought the new CF7 with the plug and installed the decoder I removed from the AMD and have had no problems (except it needs more weight).
I thought the AMD was a fluke, but hearing others are having problems makes me wonder. I was planning on getting one of the dash 9’s.
