Does any one know where I can get a set of drive wheels for my Genesis 2-8-2.
Athearn doesn’t have a part #. I am looking for the 1st set of drivers(I don’t think that they are attached with a gear.

You’ll have to call Athearn’s parts department directly, and see if they have the parts you’re looking for. One of the problems with new releases over the past 20 years or so is the impossible task of finding parts. Manufacturers don’t like to stock large quantities of parts these days, just like they don’t like to carry an inventory of rolling stock. They might suggest sending them the engine for “repairs”, and then send you a whole new engine! (Bachmann does this a lot)
As a supplemental suggestion you may wi***o visit www.nwsl.com and those drivers must be quartered properly.
By chance did you pick this engine up off of ebay? I remember watching a particular Genesis 2-8-2 that needed a replacement drive gear.
Just wondering if there are others out there garage sale-ing on ebay.[:D]
