Does anyone know of any changes made to the second release of the Athearn Genesis Challenger ? Reviews of the first release were decent, however, the quality of the sound system was found to be inferior to that used on the Lionel Challenger, etc.

Many of us including me emailed Athearn about the sound in the Challenger. I did receive two emails back from them saying they were reviewing my comments, but that was then and I have heard nothing more since then.
It would be great if they made improvements, but I would not count on it. At the low price they offer on this engine, I would guess the sound is a copy of the first release.
After all, how could they actually get sound from the 3985???
DUH, just buy a video!
