Athearn Genesis SD75M Replacement Couplers

I have three ATHG SD75M’s all Santa Fe Warbonnets (#207, #232, and #226,). However since Athearn continues to use cheap junky kadee’s, I’m wondering which #no of metal kadee’s shall I use?

Both models run great and all of the lights work. They were released in 2009/2010 so the headlights are bulbs instead of LEDS.

I know, at the prices these things sell for all the manufacturers would install nice metal couplers.

Get the Kadee whisker coupler #148. I have them on all my Athearn Genesis locomotives.

Kadee suggests a long shank for the pilot if equipped with a plow. Medium for the rear.

Kadee lists the scale versions in their chart. The 148 (non scale size) substitutes for the 28, the long shank version is the 146
