Athearn HO 57' Reefer Cars with sound

I could not respond to the thread so I started a new one.

This car has been discussed a little in the Yahoo SoundTraxx forum as it is suppose to have a SoundTraxx product made only for Athearrn. You cannot buy it as an after market product. That is typical of decoders made for different loco manufacturers to my knowledge.

Ahhh very nice. I may have to get a couple and see how the sound.

I have a 5amp DCC system, so I should be fine with power.

For the Price of $45 I will not be purchasing ANY of those. I will stick to the very nice models Intermountain has on the market that cost just $25-30MAX and they are modernized and detailed to the Genesis quality.

Not sure I would want a train of sound equipped reefers…

Maybe 3 or 4 in a train…
