Looks pretty interesting to me. I may have to get a couple. Although I kinda plan on modeling MoPac, a couple of these babies with the "Texas Chief"slogan;along with a MoPac/Wabash ART and PFE Reefers behind a Blue&White GP18 or F3 would be nice!!

I saw these at English’s Model Railroad supply in Montoursville, Pa. They are great!!! I also appreciate the price! Much more Affordable than the Kadee brand and just as nice!!

The car looks great. Not being a rivet counter I have always liked Athearn’s blue box cars…with the metal grabs and wheelsets, they’ve moved to the next level with these. Love the brake rigging.
A very helpful review on the car and appropriate era info… I assume the model is available with the original Super Chief lettering? Doesn’t sound like most of us would need more than 1 or 2.
Nice model, and thats coming form an L&N fan! Would look good on any late steam, to early diesel era layout.
