The listing of road names in MR’s review is incomplete, and two of the names listed appear to be those of the current owners of the reporting marks on the cars, which may well not have owned them when the real cars were built in the 1960’s and 1970’s.

Here’s a more complete list: Amaizo (gray), GATX (black), NATX (black), RAIX (blue), Staley (white) and UTLX (black). The black cars and the blue one are “plain Janes” with no heralds or logos or large names. The Amaizo and Staley cars have large names and logos. The three I bought (Amazo, NATX and Staley) show “built” dates from the 1970’s. I’m very pleased with them.

Once again Athearn has come through with a great product. Pricey it is.

I model the late 60-mid 70’s era so these would fit nicely on my layout that I am currently building. Once again Athearn is in the forefront tho i’d like to see more larger corn syrup cars available for this era.
