Athearn HO Metrolink Rolling Stock--I Found It!

I scoured the Internet and Ebay for any Athearn HO Metrolink F59PHIs and Bombardier cars–and had no luck whatsoever. They are out of production and apparently those who have them are not letting go.

So I tried a longshot and it came through:

Metrolink themselves.

At www.metrolinktrains.com they have an online store–a very good one, wish METRA had that–and they are selling the HO F59PHI in one road number along with two of the 3-car Bombardier sets (one is regular, one have the 10th anniversary logos).

The only downside is that there is no onlne ordering–it’s all done by mailing in an order form. But it took about a week and a half from my mailing the form to receiving my rolling stock.

Good to hear you’ve got hold of the models - I picked up a cab car and coach in the Metrolink 10th Anniversary scheme shortly after they came out, very nice models. All I’ve done is to change the plastic couplers for Kadee #58s which really finish off the models. Enjoy!

are these athearn rolling stock?

Yes they are Athearn. For some reason, they are out of production now. I too plan on putting Kadee’s on them.

I have the seattle sounder one but i cant get the cupler off it is those stupid flat head screws i will put kadee’s on as soon as i can get the old ones off.
